Regular, curriculum-based sport education is provided at all levels, including our preschool, by trained professionals. We offer coaching in cricket, volleyball and basket ball to students selected for the school teams.
All information regarding fees is contained in the registration form which may be obtained either online from our school website, or from the school office on payment of Rs. 500 only.

The child should have completed at least 3 years as of May 31st, of the relevant year for admission to our Pre-Nursery.
It is natural for a child to feel scared and nervous at being away from parents and adapt to a new environment.
Do:Remember your child is in safe and experienced hands.
Communication from school will be from either of the following:
You will get a monthly preschool newsletter to update you on activities and lessons conducted during the month.
To send a leave note, give us any information, or for any queries to be addressed, send a email.
Please ensure that your child has had breakfast before coming to school. Additionally, you may pack any finger food as a snack for your child, to be eaten during the short break. These are meant to be dry, light snacks, which can be eaten quickly and without spillage or mess.
Our policy has always been to keep the burden of schoolbags as minimal as possible. All their books/worksheets will be kept at school and sent home only at the end of the academic year. Stationery items such as pencils and erasers will be provided by the school, except for the children of preparatory class.
However, students are expected to carry:Note:
Please label all your child’s belongings to avoid misplacement.
The school has an infirmary with a qualified nurse to attend to such children immediately and administer first aid. We will inform you about such incidents and measures taken through an SMS.
However, in emergencies like major injuries or a severe medical condition that develops at school, your child will be taken to Ramakrishna Hospital accompanied by a couple of staff members including the child’s class teacher for further specialized medical treatment. You will again be kept informed about this, and our staff will wait there for your child until you arrive to take over.
Absolutely. While runny nose, headaches, and colds are regular complaints that don't require medical attention, we do not expect you to send your child to school during other conditions like fever, breathing difficulty, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, and infections that need to be dealt with at home or hospital.
Keep the school informed via email about such absences. A medical certificate will be required once your child is fit to resume school.
There are adequate, separate, and well-maintained washrooms for boys and girls.
A domestic staff member is always deployed near washrooms to monitor the washroom visits and assist children.
The meeting will be conducted on any Saturday of a month between 9:00am ad 12:30pm.
In the event of you arriving late, we regret our inability to hold your slot or allot you another one considering the other waiting parents.
At IHS, we do not believe in compartmentalizing learning into ‘classwork’ and ‘homework’. We view all academics-related tasks as learning, regardless of where these tasks are performed. Your child will therefore occasionally receive simple home-based assignments to reinforce the idea that learning can happen anywhere, and is not restricted to school alone.
Each month, we will post a maximum of 4 fun activities/assignments in Google Classroom. Your child will be given a week’s time to complete the activity/assignment and submit it online (this helps introduce young children to the idea that technology and devices are meant for more than just entertainment.)
Children are encouraged to use the washroom mandatorily during snack breaks, and also whenever they feel the need, even during class hours.
They are always accompanied by a domestic staff member on such washroom visits.
Please refrain from using a diaper for your child at school. Instead, encourage him/her to communicate his/her toilet needs to the teachers or domestic staff members.
If you miss the PTM and would want to know about their child's performance, you may take an appointment for an online meeting with the section head/ coordinator.
Your child may celebrate his/her big day by dressing in coloured clothes and distributing chocolates, but this is not mandatory.
If you still wish to do so, we restrict the distribution of chocolates only to the students and class teacher of your child’s section.
Innisfree House School was established in 1985.
The school offers both ICSE and IGCSE curricula. Students study the ICSE curriculum up to class 5. They are offered a choice between ICSE and IGCSE curriculums at class 6.
In the ICSE stream, we teach Hindi (Preparatory-Class 7) and Kannada (Class 1-7). High school students (Class 8-10) may choose to continue with either one of these languages or switch to Sanskrit. In the IGCSE stream, we offer English as a First Language and Hindi as a Second Language.
We do not offer foreign languages in either of the streams.
We are not a pure Montessori school. However, we have integrated the best practices from the Montessori methodology into our preschool curriculum to ensure joyful and hands-on learning.

After the interaction/assessment, should we feel that our school is a good fit for your child, we will make an offer of admission. Once all formalities, including payment of fees, has been made, your child’s admission is confirmed.
We do not believe in interviewing students seeking admission to our school. Instead, we interact with students to check their developmental, emotional, and intellectual readiness for admission to a particular class. We also like to get a sense for parents’ goals and expectations so as to assess whether our school would provide the right fit for their child.
We don’t believe in rigorous preparation for these assessments. The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate your child's English, Math, and Hindi competency levels to determine an appropriate academic starting point.
